2. Create your own character with a specific scenario and mental illness. Describe how you would help this person to overcome his/her mental illness and thrive in the world.

Case Study 1: Nadia is a 27 year-old-woman who was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. In addition, she works as a RN and has two children. Her family suspects she also has Depression although she is in denial. Nadia is also in school working on her BSN degree. She has gained over 20 pounds within the last year although she was typically in shape and healthy most of her life. What are some of the best ways for her to thrive in this world?

Case Study 2: Aaron is a 43 year-old-man who is single yet has Multiple Sclerosis. He used to work in the Air Force but had to retire early. He works from home as a Computer Technician yet wants to be more active again. He cares for his elderly parents financially as well. He has trouble sleeping at night and has terrible migraines. How can he best improve his life and thrive as much as possible?

3. On a topic that you feel strongly for or against, write from the perspective that you support first. Write why you believe what you do and what supports these beliefs.
