I’m studying and need help with a History question to help me learn.

In a 5 to 7-page, double-spaced paper, you are to write a paper that answers the following questions to the best of your ability:

1. In your opinion, what does the title of the book refer to? What does Cronon mean by “changes in the land?” Is he referring to changes that people caused to the land? Is he referring to how the land/ecology of New England changed as a result of colonization? Both? Is one more important than the other in your opinion? Explain.

2. In your opinion, what were the two most significant changes the Cronon writes about? What were these changes? What were their causes? What were their consequences?
